We welcomed over 700 visitors to our farm on Sunday. What a joy it was to meet you all.

Thank you for coming and thank you to all the helpers and exhibitors who supported us. Open Farm Sunday enables visitors the opportunity to learn more about our sustainable farming  practices and how we work in harmony with nature and the countryside. It also gives Farmer David and Farmer James the chance to talk about what they’re so proud of: British food and farming!

These are some of the comments from our visitors, sharing their highlights:

“Learning about the cattle and animals, seeing and petting the donkey’s snd goats”

“The friendly staff and the knowledge on the tours was super. My daughter particularly enjoyed the sheepdogs at the end.”

The best bits: “Bees, metal detector, wood turning, baby goats, obstacle course”

Highlights included the “Craft Shed, woodwork, lacework inc Metal Detecting, orchard, Polytunnel and sheepdog display, cute kids.”

“All of it was wonderful. It was great to see a real life farm, which is why we enjoy going to these. Rachel was brilliant at letting the children get hands on with the animals. We loved learning about everything.”

We hope to see you again at Road Farm, or next year at Open Farm Sunday 2025
